Cookie policy
This policy explains how showtraillistlantern.makeup uses cookies and similar browser technologies, including local storage.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device by a website. Local storage is a browser feature that stores a small amount of information without sending it automatically with every web request.
Our current static website uses local storage to remember the selection made in the cookie banner. Non-essential technologies should not be activated unless you choose “Accept All.”
2. Storage categories
| Category | Example | Purpose | Typical duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | stll_cookie_choice | Remembers the selection made in the cookie banner. | Until browser storage is cleared | Not required |
| Essential | Security log identifier | Supports abuse detection and website availability when supplied by hosting infrastructure. | Session to 90 days | Not required |
| Analytics | Aggregate visit identifier | Would measure page views and navigation patterns. | Up to 13 months | Required |
| Functional | Display preference | Would remember optional reader display choices. | Up to 180 days | Required |
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioural profiling. If third-party tools are added, this policy will be updated with their purposes and durations.
3. Your choices
“Accept All” records consent for optional analytics and functional categories. “Reject Non-Essential” declines them. “Preferences” records a preferences state and opens this policy.
You can reset the choice by clearing site data or local storage for showtraillistlantern.makeup in your browser. The banner will appear again on the next page load.
4. Browser controls
Most browsers let you inspect, block and delete stored data. In Chrome, use Settings, Privacy and security, then Site settings. In Firefox, use Settings, Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data. In Safari, use Settings, Privacy, then Manage Website Data. In Microsoft Edge, use Settings, Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking all storage may cause the banner to return because the website cannot remember your selection. Private browsing usually removes stored data when the private session ends.
5. Global privacy signals
Because we do not currently use behavioural advertising, there is no advertising profile to disable. Where legally required and technically supported, recognised global privacy signals will be treated as an opt-out from relevant sale or sharing activity. We do not sell personal information.
6. Contact and updates
Questions can be sent to [email protected] or mailed to Show Trail List Lantern Media Ltd., 24 Kingsway, London WC2B 6LE, United Kingdom.
See the privacy policy for information about personal data rights and retention. We may revise this policy when technology or legal requirements change.
